Over thirty years ago I was on the verge of mental and physical collapse from a nervous condition. A physician, under whose care I had been for some time, told me that there was nothing more he could do for me. One night when I felt that I could not carry on any longer, a sister, who was not a student of Christian Science, but who had heard of it through friends, asked me if I would let her call a practitioner. Because I could not bear the thought of leaving my two small children and was willing to try anything, I consented.

I slept better that night than I had for months. The next morning the practitioner came to see me. When she left I felt like a different person. Much of the fear was gone, and it was as though I were living in a new world. I immediately quit using material remedies and have never again had a desire to rely on them. Soon I was entirely free.

I have had numerous other healings and many beautiful experiences. Some have been with the help of practitioners; others have come with my own study and application of the truth. I have learned that Christian Science never fails when understandingly applied.

At one time a severe spinal condition developed, causing me such suffering that it appeared that I might pass on. I was not in my own home or in the home of Christian Scientists; so as soon as I was able to travel, I went to another city. where I could be with Christian Scientists. Although the home at which I applied for a room housed only employed Christian Scientists, the kind landlady took me in. Here, amid the loving thoughts of those around me and through the treatments given by a consecrated practitioner, I was restored to health and was able to secure a position. I thank God for loving persons everywhere who take in the stranger and supply his needs. This healing was a great blessing, because it has enabled me for the past few years to keep house for my son and his three small children.

Other healings which I should like to mention are an instantaneous one of gallstones and others of influenza and tonsillitis. Fear and timidity have been overcome.

Membership in The Mother Church and a branch church is a privilege which I cherish and enjoy. I am grateful that through the writings of our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, the revealed truth of the Bible has become an inspiring study forme.—(Mrs.) Elizabeth Pine, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
