I should like to express my gratitude...

I should like to express my gratitude to God for Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, and for her gift to us of Christian Science, whereby we are learning to live more abundantly. Loving help given by faithful practitioners has brought me many proofs of God's care. Membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, together with class instruction and the yearly association meetings, makes me humbly grateful.

When I was a beginner in the study of Christian Science the following experience occurred. My young daughter suffered for two days from an earache. Help was requested in Christian Science, and while she was taking a short nap the ear started to drain. There was no more pain, but a condition of deafness developed. Some time later her Sunday School teacher said to me: "Do you realize that your daughter has had her healing of deafness? I spoke to her in my normal voice this morning, and she responded to all I said." Thereafter her healing was good.

This child's second teeth came in quite crooked. They were straightened by declarations of the truth that all useful ideas are held in perfect position by the Mind that makes them. We did not know exactly when the healing took place, but when we next looked at the teeth they were straight.

I have been healed of broken bones, torn ligaments, cuts, bruises, and burns. Lack has been overcome, and many false traits of disposition have given way as the unfoldment of Truth has taken place in consciousness. Grief was instantly healed at the sudden passing of my parents and a much-loved sister. Sorrow over a broken home was more tenacious, but through patient persistence this too was overcome.

I am grateful for protection while driving an automobile, for guidance in business transactions, and for the restoration of lost articles. When a cherished cameo pin was lost, each suggestion of loss was challenged with the angel thought that God, the all-knowing Mind, guides and provides, directs and protects. A few days later, when in the garden, I pushed back some branches of a small shrub to turn on the water sprinklers, and there I found my pin. Words cannot express my gratitude for Christian Science, the demonstrable religion that is healing the world.—(Mrs.) Lucille B. McDonald, Pasadena, California.

As the daughter referred to in my mother's testimony, I wish to verify the two healings she mentions. I am grateful for what I learned in Sunday School and for the privilege of sending my little son there.—(Mrs.) Jayne E. McDonald Grund.
