In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, we read (Pref., p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." The truth of this statement has been proved to me numerous times; indeed, when I have turned trustingly to God to supply my needs, my cup has been more than full—it has been running over.

An example of God's loving care occurred about three years ago when I was returning to Canada from Great Britain. Legislation at that time made it necessary to be vaccinated for smallpox before entering Canada from a European country. However, submission to this regulation seemed to me to be contrary to God's law, and after much prayerful thought I asked the advice of a practitioner, who suggested that I seek the opinion of the Committee on Publication for that district. I did so, asking him if he would write a letter stating that it was contrary to my religious convictions to be vaccinated.

He willingly provided the letter, but there was some doubt as to whether the immigration authorities would accept it in lieu of a certificate of vaccination. At no time did I entertain the slightest desire to disobey the laws of my country, but my calm trust in the supremacy of God's law led me to believe that my convictions would be respected.
