"THE DYNAMICS OF MEDICINE IS MIND"

Humanity needs to be mentally and spiritually enlightened on the subject of true medicine. The question naturally arises, Where may one gain this education regarding true medicine? The answer is well established. There is no other source more authentic, more revealing, more definitely tested, than the Bible itself.

It was through this means that Christian Science was discovered by Mary Baker Eddy. Here she found the medicine which is divine Mind. She has a short section on the subject of medicine in her Message to The Mother Church for 1901, in which she says (p. 17), "From my medical practice I had learned that the dynamics of medicine is Mind." She capitalizes this word Mind, which identifies the power as God's. Then she goes on to explain (p. 18): "If God created drugs for medical use, Jesus and his disciples would have used them and named them for that purpose, for he came to do 'the will of the Father;'" and further on she states, "The divine Life, Truth, Love—whom men call God—is the Christian Scientists' healer; and if God destroys the popular triad—sin, sickness, and death—remember it is He who does it and so proves their nullity."

Christ Jesus, the great Metaphysician, who used spiritual means alone in his healing work, proved innumerable times that the dynamics of the medicine he used was divine Mind acting on human belief. Through his understanding he aroused the individual to become aware of the presence of the Christ in consciousness. The teaching of the Master as interpreted by Christian Science may be demonstrated by anyone who radically relies upon God.
