Over thirty-five years ago I took up Christian Science for a healing of liver and gall bladder trouble after physicians had done all they could and had given me but two months to live. I knew nothing of Science when a practitioner was called, but he very kindly explained God as Life, Truth, and Love, as well as man's relationship to God. Although I thought his explanations very beautiful, I was unable to see how they could heal me of my condition. However, I decided to have him give me treatment. To my surprise I was healed in two weeks and was able to be about my household duties.

Some time later I was healed of a case of rheumatism so severe that it had appeared I would never walk naturally again. This healing was slow, but there has never been a return of rheumatism in the twenty years since then. I am most grateful for this experience, as it brought much spiritual progress.

While at the Christian Science Benevolent Association, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, I was healed of a growth on my foot. When a loved one passed on, grief was overcome. I am grateful for these healings and for the better understanding of God that Mrs. Eddy's teachings give us. For all the activities of The Mother Church, for the branch church of which I am a member, and for class instruction, I thank God. The practitioners, who are always so willing to help us, are a proof of what we read in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 494): "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."—(Mrs.) Beulah E.
