"Many, O Lord my God, are...

"Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered" (Ps. 40:5).

This verse expresses the gratitude I feel for Christian Science and for the proofs I have had of its healing power. When I think how barren my life would be without Science, I want to sing hymns of praise to God, who has been so gracious to me and who by His great love and goodness has revealed the promised Comforter to this age through Mrs. Eddy.

The blessing I am most grateful for is my growing awareness of the Christ, which Mrs. Eddy defines as "the divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error" (Science and Health, p. 583). I have been healed of restlessness, frustration, and false ambition through the understanding that each of God's ideas exists to fulfill a purpose. Nothing is barren or worthless in His kingdom, and no power exists to prevent the unfolding of Life's purpose or mar its perfect fruitage.
