It is with a sincere desire to share with others the healings and blessings which have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science that I submit the following testimony.

Mrs. Eddy has written in her sermon entitled "Christian Healing" (p. 15), "Christian Science repudiates the evidences of the senses and rests upon the supremacy of God." Christian Science came into my life over thirty-five years ago. One spring morning while horseback riding I was thrown from the frightened horse. My spine was injured so badly that specialists and physicians who examined the X ray said I would never be active again and probably would never walk.

Hearing of this verdict, a friend, whose mother was a Christian Science practitioner, came to see me and asked if I did not wish to try Christian Science. I knew very little about it, but I gladly consented to have Science help. The next day the practitioner who came to see me explained to me what Christian Science is and what it can do, even when all else fails. After reading to me for a while she gave me a treatment, with the result that in the evening I arose completely healed. To satisfy those about me a second X ray was taken, showing the once curved spine to be perfectly straight. Conclusive proof of the healing was evident that summer, which I spent in Colorado doing much mountain climbing with no discomfort.
