A Very
explicit and important statement relating to our human experiences is made by Mary Baker Eddy in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures".
When
a student takes up the study of Christian Science he discovers that Mary Baker Eddy begins her great work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," with a chapter on Prayer.
Loving
counsel from Mary Baker Eddy in her book "Miscellaneous Writings" reads as follows.
To
be the choice of God,How great the honor hereAnd manifold the peaceHis chosen one may hear.
The
antipode of mesmerism is the spiritual understanding of the fact that God is one God and has no opposite.
In
general, humanity thinks of love as a human emotion separate from God and at the disposal of persons.
Christian Science
declares that good is the natural and basic quality of God and is revealed in all that He creates or unfolds.
Justice
and mercy are attributes of Truth and Love, the one almighty God.

Meetings at which testimonies of Christian Science healing are given, are held in Christian Science churches on Wednesdays.

This testimony is written in gratitude to Christian Science and with the special hope of giving encouragement to those who have suffered for a long period of time.
I should like to relate a healing I experienced in 1949.
In grateful acknowledgment of all that Christian Science has done for me, I offer this testimony.
It is with a sincere desire to share with others the healings and blessings which have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science that I submit the following testimony.
I did not become interested in Christian Science for a physical healing.
Before I became interested in Christian Science I had all my life been subject to severe sore throat.
"Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered".
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
It is with joy and gratitude that I testify to what Christian Science has done for me.
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God".
