GRACE AND PEACE

Myrtle Daugherty

If grace be multiplied to me
Through God's dear love,
I shall be kind,
Reflecting the tenderness of Mind
Spontaneously.
Occasions will be multiplied
That call for grace,
And I shall see my brother's face
In every place
Always as if he looked at God.
I shall know Christian fellowship.
Grace is holy—an attribute of Soul.

If grace be multiplied to me,
Peace will be multiplied
Today and now a thousandfold;
A stronger, surer, freer peace,
It shall be mine,
Never to be invaded.
I shall behold
"The Sun of righteousness arise
With healing in his wings,"
Shining
Upon the nations everywhere.
Peace is divine, a quality of Spirit.

So let us pray as Peter did
That grace and peace be multiplied
Through the knowledge of God
And of Jesus, our Lord,
To all.
