TRUE RECORD

Forms cannot touch man. He is out of reach
of what material documents may declare.
Certificates of birth cannot attach
age to immortal being. Man's life was here
before the shadow of the flesh appeared,
and when the shadow of the flesh is gone,
still will shine forth, radiant and unimpaired.
Records of death refer not to God's son.

In such and such a place and of such parents,
graded particulars both good and bad,
some register may assert. This false appearance,
mortality's ancient birth-wrong, never had
reference to man, child of the Father-Mother
Spirit. Man's citizenship forever is
in the boundless realm of heaven; he knows no other
inheritance but good, all that God has.

No record of education, worse or better,
experience, training, past employment, can
limit man's opportunities or fetter
God's ever-unfolding purpose for His son.
No medical sheet can mask our inviolate wholeness,
no criminal record blemish our innocence.
The Christ, the resistless Word, affirms good's allness,
correcting flimsy records of physical sense.
