Forestville, Ohio

(First Church).

Dedication services will be held by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Forestville, in its new edifice, 7341 Beechmont Avenue, Ocotober 14, at 10.30 a.m., 3 p.m., and 7.30 p.m. Sunday School will be held at 10.30 a.m. This church had its inception when a group of Christian Science students began holding regular meetings in the Masonic Hall at Tobasco, in November, 1942. Early in 1943 a Sunday School was started, and by February of 1944 this informal group was recognized as a Christian Science Society by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. Also at this time a Reading Room was opened in Forestville.

Growth of the society made it necessary to seek larger quarters, and the organization began holding services in Anderson Township School. In November, 1945, the society became First Church of Christ, Scientist, Forestville, Ohio.

The first services were held in the new edifice on July 15, 1951. At its dedication this church building will be completely free of debt, it was reported.
