What a privilege it is to live in...

What a privilege it is to live in an age when the full Science of Christianity has been revealed to mankind! The crystal-clear presentation of the Christ as given in our textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, has been of unfailing help to me in times of trouble. The promise of God's ever-present, embracing love for His children is well expressed in the twenty-third Psalm, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." An equally comforting reassurance is given us in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."

The first proof of the healing power of Christian Science came to me several years ago when material means had failed to cure or even relieve an eye infection diagnosed as conjunctivitis. The condition had grown alarmingly worse, until one day the specialist said he had done all he could for me.

The next morning the pain seemed unbearable, and I felt that I could not go on. Christian Science was recommended, and a practitioner was called. I was asked if I would like to read from the Bible during the treatment. Although I had not been able to read for several weeks, the thought of turning to the Bible was refreshing. As the treatment continued, the discharge stopped immediately, the pain left, and I was free. On the second day I returned to work. I am grateful that no reference was made to the condition by my fellow workers.
