Ten years ago I suffered severely from asthma, I went from one doctor to another; the last one told my husband and me that I had only two weeks to live. On returning home that day, I took out my Bible again to study and opened it at random to the sixth chapter of Luke and read the account of Jesus' healing of the man with a withered hand, I also read other accounts of the Master's healings; and I thought: Jesus healed through spiritual means alone. Why cannot we do likewise?

While we were on a picnic on Saturday of that week my cousin noticed, when I was getting out of the car, that it was difficult for me to move and that I breathed with difficulty; she said, "Why don't you take up Christian Science?" She told me that she and her husband were interested in this Science, and she thought that it would help me.

My husband and I went to visit a practitioner. Exactly when my healing came, I do not know; but I do know that I was healed and that the asthmatic condition never returned. My husband has since experienced many healings through Christian Science.
