I wish to express my deepest gratitude for the many blessings received through the operation of divine Principle. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 456), "Whoever affirms that there is more than one Principle and method of demonstrating Christian Science greatly errs, ignorantly or intentionally, and separates himself from the true conception of Christian Science healing and from its possible demonstration."

One morning when I awoke, my entire right side was paralyzed. I realized that here was an opportunity to glorify God and prove the power of Spirit over material conditions, for I had learned through the teachings of Christian Science that Truth, not error, is real. I knew that evil is no part of God's creation or of man.

The subject of the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly that week was "Mortals and Immortals"; but as I tried to read it, I could comprehend only a few words, such as God, Love, Principle, Spirit, Soul. When I dwelt on each one, I fully realized that they were all that were needed to prove the healing power of God. I persisted in this way and was able to read some of the Lesson and thanked God, because I knew that I could do it through spiritual discernment.
