TRUE FORGIVENESS
I strove
awhile to free my thought
From deep resentment's bitter stain.
So real had seemed the injury
My work had almost been in vain.
And then I heard the voice of Love
A tender, healing message give.
At last I learned to pray aright,
"Father, there's nothing to forgive!"
