I am most grateful to God for Christian Science. When I was about twelve years of age, hip disease made it impossible for me to walk. The physician told my parents that I should be placed in a plaster cast and perhaps have an operation. A member of my family had at one time heard of Christian Science, and in desperation my parents appealed to it. Soon a practitioner came to see me and brought us a ray of light.

The healing was quick. After a week's time the practitioner advised me to get up and try to walk by pushing a chair ahead of me. From that day progress was rapid. Two weeks later I walked without help, and two months after I had left school, I resumed my studies and have never had a recurrence of the disease. Since that time my parents and I have attended a Church of Christ, Scientist, and I have myself received many blessings from Sunday School attendance.

About two years ago I had another beautiful demonstration. Working in a government office, I had to submit to compulsory vaccination, which seemed to provoke a serious physical difficulty. The doctors prescribed medical treatment and a stay in the mountains, a plan to which both my parents and I were completely opposed. During this period I constantly turned to God for help.
