I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science and its healing power. I was told, after I had visited five specialists and was in a completely exhausted state, that it would be necessary for me to have a serious spinal operation before I would be able to walk normally. Other temporary medical remedies were recommended, but I had no relief, and I did not know which way to turn.

A dear friend who is a Christian Scientist asked me if I would like to try this religion. I told her that I would if she thought it would help me. I bought a copy of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and subscribed to the Sentinel and the Christian Science Quarterly. It is with gratitude that I say that I studied the Lesson-Sermon daily and read the Sentinel at every spare moment and that in less than a week I was healed of the above-mentioned ailment. Later I was healed of smoking of twenty years' standing.
