MAN'S IMMUNITY TO EVIL

Man is always at the standpoint of perfect expression of God. He is not a mortal knowing a history, fortunate or unfortunate, in helpless matter. The Christian Scientist, who knows that man is never born and never dies, handles these beliefs from the standpoint of no helpless babyhood for man, no years of undeveloped mind and body, no harmful, ineradicable mental impressions.

The individual who is seeing most clearly the vital fact of God's allness, who is most completely absorbed in daily proving the nothingness of matter and all of matter's imperfections, obstructions, and limitations, will be the one who is proving ability to do all human things wisely, lovingly, expeditiously. Such a one is sure to be a more joyous companion and a better representative of health and intelligence than he was before he began to practice Christian Science.

The person who believes in a perfect physical body and caters to it and is absorbed in that body has made no spiritual headway. But the one learning the unreality of matter and man's perfect selfhood as spiritual idea, without one element of error, does in that way demonstrate better health and freedom and is making real spiritual progress. First we must overcome the belief of disease; then eventually we shall prove the unreality of matter.
