I was greatly in need of the truth when Christian Science was brought to my attention, and it is with sincere gratitude for my initial healing and many other blessings that I give this testimony.

I was afflicted with a severe form of arthritis in my knees and limbs and at times could not walk alone. I had to be assisted when I dressed and was almost helpless. I am most grateful for the helpful words and the beautiful work done by a loving practitioner. She helped me to see the light and sat by my bed hours at a time reading the Bible and Science and Health. She helped me to know the truth of Mrs. Eddy's words in Science and Health (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized," and of those on page 410: "The more difficult seems the material condition to be overcome by Spirit, the stronger should be our faith and the purer our love." Gradually the pain disappeared, and the complete healing came.

I am grateful to God, our heavenly Father, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for giving us this beautiful, practical truth. I thank God each day for Christian Science.—Mrs. Carrie Ida Pipes, Beaumont, Texas.
