OUR DAY

Our day is not a period of time,
Measuring footsteps into age and blight,
But an unfoldment of God's truth sublime,
Which knows no waning sun or darkening night.

Our day God's revealing of His love;
It fills our hearts with joyous inspiration.
We find Him All-in-all, and thus we prove
The meaning of true self-renunciation.

Our day—the blest fulfillment of God's will—
Brings nought of loss, grief, or finality.
It conquers error with His "Peace, be still,"
And leads us nearer immortality.
