Eleven years ago, when I was sick and miserable, I was led to Christian Science. By reading The Herald of Christian Science (German Edition), I was healed within a few days of a severe attack of bilious colic. At the same time I was also healed of nephritis, chronic bladder trouble, constipation, rheumatism, and recurring pains in the stomach. Very soon the pills and teas were thrown into the fire, because I was convinced that I should never need any more medicine, and this proved to be true. There has been no return of any of these complaints.

About seven years ago I was suffering from what appeared to be pneumonia. This was healed with the aid of a practitioner. I was not confined to my bed for one day, and in spite of my illness I carried on all my household duties, because I knew that, as the Bible tells us (John 14:10), "The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." Our eleven-year-old daughter was healed of sleeping sickness without the aid of material remedies.

Whatever the problem, I turn to Christian Science, for I know that no problem is so difficult that it cannot be solved. I consider that great work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has given us, to be a most valuable book, for through it we learn to understand the Bible. Each day I am grateful to God for leading me to this wonderful religion. Fervently I pray that I may ever learn more of it.
