My testimony is long past due

My testimony is long past due. I thank our Father-Mother God, Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and Mary Baker Eddy, our revered Leader, for the inspiration that floods my thought daily and for the awakening from false beliefs and the casting out of them through the love of God and the understanding of His holy law. Through increased elimination of fear I am gaining, step by step, desirable graces of Spirit, expressed in patience, love, contentment, joy, and peace. I do thank God every moment of my life for His bountiful goodness. How thankful I am to know He is ever with us, "a very present help in trouble."

I started reading Christian Science literature in 1935. At that time sorrow, sickness, and sin claimed to be paramount in my daily thinking and life. However, by constantly reading the Bible in connection with Science and Health and Mrs. Eddy's other writings, I am beginning to understand the wonderful love God has for us, His children. I am learning, too, that God, the All-in-all, is divine Principle, the only creator, and that man is His image and likeness. I am grateful that we can lean on Him and know safety.

The most beautiful demonstration I ever experienced was when I was new in Christian Science. About two months after I began reading Christian Science, my son, twelve years of age, suffered from severe trouble in his ears and was in much pain. I stood at his bedside most of one night, praying and working in Science the best I knew. God heard and answered my prayer. My son began to improve and was soon free. I have been healed of gall-bladder trouble, a nervous breakdown, indigestion, blemishes on my face, lockjaw, and many other erroneous conditions. During the years that I have relied on God's healing power I have taken no medicine and have had no doctor. I am so thankful for all that Christian Science is doing for me and mine and all the world.
