Over four sears ago I was healed...

Over four years ago I was healed of a tumor through Christian Science treatment. This healing took about two months and required much courage and steadfast reliance upon God in order for me to turn away from the evidence of the material senses. When the realization came to me that I was not dependent on the body for my life, I no longer feared the material condition. Within a few days the complete healing took place, and there has never been any further evidence of this condition. During the experience the temptation came often to me to have a physical diagnosis, but each time I rejected this suggestion, and the healing took place without my knowing what name would have been attached to the condition. Several months later I learned what the disease would have been called, and my gratitude not only for the wonderful healing but that I had not yielded to the temptation for a diagnosis was unbounded, as this would only have increased the fear.

The opportunity of serving actively in a branch church has brought great growth in spiritual understanding and improvement in traits of character such as a lack of patience, a tendency to criticize, and self-will.

In our home Christian Science is the only remedy for all ills—physical, mental, financial—and when understandingly applied, meets all our needs. Serenity, peace, happiness, progress have been ours through the study of Christian Science. Frequent attacks of headache and cold have been overcome; timidity and lack of confidence have disappeared through the understanding of man's heritage as the child of our Father-Mother God; the pronouncement of a bad heart was completely reversed when, upon examination by five different physicians, no such evidence could be found.
