GOD'S TODAY
I take
the past and lay it at Thy feet,
Dear God, for Thou wast there amid all storms,
Stilling the waves and bidding peace to reign.
I take each unkind word, each careless thought,
The pain of things undone, the unwise deed,
The broken friendships, and the loss of love—
All these that seemed so real were never true,
For ever-present Love was always there,
And knows no past, but only God's today.
