For over thirty years Christian Science has been my only remedy for healing of every sort. I am thankful for Mrs. Eddy's great love and understanding of the Father-Mother God, which enabled her to write her textbook, Science and Health, through which so many have received healing. I should like to tell of two recent demonstrations of mine.

During the war years I was an inspector in a big local company. The day before New Year's I was suffering from a severe cold in my throat and lungs and called a practitioner for aid before leaving for the plant. During the day I became worse, but stuck to my work, as I was needed. I repeated to myself many times parts of the ninety-first Psalm, especially the third verse, "Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence."

The next morning about four o'clock I awoke feeling very ill. I got to the telephone and called the practitioner's number. When she answered, I could not speak out loud, but she understood who was calling and made some strong declarations of Truth. Then she said she would stand by. After a short time I went to sleep and woke up completely healed. The error was so perfectly routed that the friends we had invited for New Year's dinner were astounded when I told them how ill I had been at four o'clock.
