Should I write of all the wonderful blessings that have come to me and my family through the understanding of God and His law as taught by Christ Jesus and revealed to this age by Mary Baker Eddy, it would take more space than is allotted me.

My family has witnessed the complete healing of three types of diseases that mortal mind is continually holding before us today by radio and press campaigns and the attempt to raise funds by civic groups to alleviate these diseases. I am certainly grateful that I have learned in Christian Science that the greatest contribution which I can give is to repudiate these claims and to the degree of my understanding destroy them and help set mankind free from experiencing these ailments.

My maternal grandmother was healed in 1903 of cancer of the stomach and an aunt of tuberculosis, after physicians had given them both no hope for the future. When I became a member of the family in 1909, they were well rooted in this teaching, and it has been my only physician in the forty years since then.
