It is with deepest gratitude that I give my testimony to the healing power of Christian Science. I began the study of this Science in 1917 after reading a Sentinel that had been left in my place of business. From childhood I had always prayed to be shown the real, true love, so this religion appealed to me at once.

At that time I was suffering from tubercular disease of the hip bone and nervous exhaustion. I had had treatments from various physicians over a period of eight years, but had grown worse. I finally had an examination by a well-known specialist, who said I could not live a year. Although the pain was intense at times, I continued with my business, for I did not want to be a burden to my relatives.

About two months after the examination I found the Sentinel and began the earnest study of the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I studied till late each night and arose early each morning in order to study. I was healed through this study within three months, and the healing has been permanent. One morning, while studying, I had such a clear realization of my oneness with God that I believe I must have been healed at that moment.
