TWO GREAT COMMANDS

Christ Jesus, beloved of every Christian, gave to those who would emulate his example two commands. He said (Mark 16:15), "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature," and (Matt. 10:8), "Heal the sick."

Students of Christian Science know that the best way to preach the gospel is to bring out more of Truth in their own lives. Indeed their Leader, in writing of Christ Jesus' example, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 34), "If all who seek his commemoration through material symbols will take up the cross, heal the sick, cast out evils, and preach Christ, or Truth, to the poor,—the receptive thought,—they will bring in the millennium."

One young student of Christian Science was suddenly faced with a seemingly insurmountable business problem. The problem involved a situation where inharmony, treachery, jealousy, and a score of other ungodlike qualities seemed to be present. At the Wednesday testimony meetings he had heard of Christian Science practitioners, and he decided to seek one in order to determine the efficacy of Christian Science in solving this particular problem.
