"Incurable" ulcers are cured. Student is healthy and active
About twenty years ago I attended a lecture on Christian Science and there received an instantanous healing of a deep-seated and long-fostered antagonism to Christian Science. So complete was the change in my thinking that I at once destroyed my stock of medicines and have never been tempted to replace them.
Shortly after this experience I was healed through Christian Science treatment of gastric ulcers of long standing. After an X-ray examination my medical adviser had told me the condition was incurable, except perhaps by an operation which he could not advise me to undergo. A distressing skin disease which had troubled me for years, and which had also been pronounced incurable, was healed by Christian Science treatment about the same time.
Numerous other physical and moral healings followed, and for many years I have led a healthy and active life, far removed from the state of semi-invalidism into which I had fallen. Not all of the healings were instantaneous. In particular, my freedom from the smoking habit of thirty years' standing seemed long delayed; but when this freedom was manifested, I was grateful to find that I was acceptable for membership in a branch church. Membership in The Mother Church and the privilege of class instruction followed, and for these blessings I am indeed grateful.
