GUIDANCE
I sought
by human will one day
To walk the path in my own way,
But wisdom bade me pause and wait
For Mind's unfailing light to guide
Me in the narrow way and straight
With Love's own presence at my side.
While pride and self were put away
I humbly then began to pray,
"Not my will but Thine be done,
O God, Thou good and perfect One."
Leon I. Maxson
