Ultrapenetrating and revealing what no X ray can ever bring to light

"THE RAYS OF INFINITE TRUTH"

"The rays of infinite Truth, when gathered into the focus of ideas, bring light instantaneously, whereas a thousand years of human doctrines, hypotheses, and vague conjectures emit no such effulgence." So writes Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 504). And she adds, "Material sense is nothing but a supposition of the absence of Spirit."

God is infinite and is infinitely expressed. The rays of infinite Truth always reveal man's indissoluble spiritual perfection as the idea of God. Through Christian Science we see what really is, not what appears to be. In "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 194) Mrs. Eddy says, "The lens of Science magnifies the divine power to human sight; and we then see the supremacy of Spirit and the nothingness of matter." The lens of Truth focuses light on man's God-given and unimpaired freedom, his intact perfection, his continuous and abiding well-being, material sense evidence to the contrary.

Christ Jesus was a true metaphysician. He declared (John 8:38), "I speak that which I have seen with my Father." He looked beyond matter and its false appearance to Spirit as the only cause and creator. Material sense testimony disappears before the consciousness of spiritual facts. Firmly adhering to spiritual Truth, the Christian Scientist proves that God's image and likeness is never subject to error's forebodings, but is eternally embraced in His omnipotent Love.
