Harmonious childbirth. Protection for children
Because of the innumerable blessings that have come to me through my study of Christian Science, I should like to express my gratitude.
After studying it seriously for several months, with the help of a consecrated practitioner, I arose from bed the second day after childbirth. This was an uplifting experience. The practitioner asked me to commit to memory the ninety-first Psalm, the Lord's Prayer with its spiritual interpretation as given on pages 16 and 17 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and "the scientific statement of being" (ibid., p. 468). She quoted frequently from the Bible. I had the same harmonious experience in the births of two children later.
During the years our family has been abundantly blessed through the spiritual understanding of Christian Science and has proved that it is the promised Comforter. Children's diseases were quickly overcome. Three of our sons were divinely protected while in the service.
I am very grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her magnanimity in sharing her understanding with the world and for the great good it has brought to mankind.—(Mrs.) Blanche P. Goetz, Cleveland, Ohio.
