I COULD REJOICE
Although
there seemed to be
earth tears for me.
I knew the aftersmile of Love
would finally come
with such persuasive proof
and radiancy
of Life I could no more
be tempted to succumb
to whisperings
of sorrow, grief, and loss,
but could rejoice
to wear the crown above the cross.
