"LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR"
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Nancy is in the first grade at school. She has been going to a Christian Science Sunday School since she was very little.
When Nancy started in kindergarten, Mother knew that the little girl's day should begin with thoughts of Truth. So the very first school day Nancy listened to Mother read the Golden Text, then the Responsive Reading, and then one section of the Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly. First Mother read from the Bible and then from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
For a few days it seemed hard for Nancy to sit still and listen in the morning, for she was very lively and eager to go to school. But one morning Nancy laughed and said, "I guess I'd be pretty hungry if I went to school without my breakfast, and I guess I'd feel empty if I didn't learn more about God each day." Then she and Mother agreed that the Lesson was her spiritual food for the day.
