Children apply the truth. Healings. Constant protection

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 236): "Jesus loved little children because of their freedom from wrong and their receptiveness of right. While age is halting between two opinions or battling with false beliefs, youth makes easy and rapid strides towards Truth." During the past few years we have witnessed the demonstration of this statement many times in our home. Our children were enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School shortly after they were a year old, and it has been inspiring to watch the way in which they accept and apply the truth. They go even farther: after a healing they acknowledge that God has healed them and are grateful to Him for it.

I have experienced healings of broken bones and sprains and have had an instantaneous healing of an abscessed tooth through reading from the Bible (Rom. 11:36), "For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever." For the children we have had healings of cuts and burns and protection from accident, and many seemingly more serious difficulties which were not diagnosed were overcome quickly through Christian Science treatment.

One of the more simple healings we have experienced stands out to me because it demonstrates the receptivity of children to the truth. Our little girl, who was then three and a half, was writing with a pencil and came to me, complaining that the pencil hurt a "bite" on her finger. I looked and saw a wart on the finger where the pencil pressed against it. I thought, "What an ugly thing to appear on a baby's hand," but immediately this thought was counteracted with the healing thought from Hymn No. 51 of the Christian Science Hymnal,
