fifty-seven years ago The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in its present form was organized by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, with the loyal assistance of twelve of her students.

Before I became a member of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, I was much interested in Christian Science literature, the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and all that Science stands for.
Per Capita Tax,
as provided in the Church Manual, Article VIII, Section 13, is due annually from "every member of The Mother Church" and "shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer.
