Anemia disappears; grief overcome

In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes (p. 15), "Christians rejoice in secret beauty and bounty, hidden from the world, but known to God." I have received this "secret beauty and bounty" for over forty years, and an acknowledgment of this in our periodicals is surely long overdue.

Before hearing of Christian Science just after leaving school, I had what was to me the awe-inspiring experience of proving through answered prayer what I then called the "aliveness" of God. I had for some time yearned to know Him because I felt that He was in some way responsible for the love and care which had surrounded me all my life.

Soon after this experience I found I could call on God when in need, and the answers to my prayers proved to be immediate and practical. Through a simple but logical process I received my first glimpse of God as Mind, thus being prepared for further unfoldment in the study of Christian Science.
