Do you really know your true self? Here is opportunity to get acquainted

IDENTITY EXPRESSES COMPLETENESS

Do we know who we really are? Many of us believe we are physical and thus suffer the consequences of such incorrect thinking. Christian Science reveals true identity as spiritual and individual, not material and personal. Human personality is changeable and temperamental, subject to the whims and caprices of the so-called carnal mind. Spiritual identity is as fixed and immovable as God Himself.

Man is created by God, Spirit, supported by Principle, strengthened by Soul, cherished by Love, and animated by Life divine. He is the child of the one divine Mind. God is complete; therefore man, His reflection, is complete. Because he reflects God in perfection, immortality, harmony, man has no degree of imperfection, no sense of discord, no belief of lack. Man's completeness is inviolate. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. The pure consciousness of his at-one-ment with the Father-Mother God is an instant nullification of any belief of incompleteness.

Our great need is to identify ourselves correctly. This means we must look away from materiality to spirituality, from human personality to true individuality, from a limited sense of self to that selfhood which is God-created, God-ordained, God-anointed. As we come to understand our real identity as the child of God, we manifest a greater sense of completeness. False beliefs of heredity, temperament, timidity, or aggressiveness and cycles of moroseness or gaiety are then found to have no place in our true selfhood, and the stabilizing qualities of perfection, joy, peace, and happiness, which are harbingers of heaven, harmony, are recognized as inherent in man. In identifying ourselves with all that is real and immortal we find completeness, or wholeness, for these qualities are concomitants of divinity.
