Sprained ankle yields instantaneously to Truth
When in my teens I wished that Jesus could be here to help those who were ill. Some time later my mother became mentally disturbed as the result of a concussion caused by a fall down a flight of stairs. She heard of a Christian Science practitioner and unbeknown to us went to her and was healed. Nevertheless, I did not take up the study of Science for many years after that. Error gave me many reasons for not doing so. Although I was a member of three different denominations at various times, nothing satisfied me until I finally joined the Christian Science church.
I had prepared myself for teaching, but forty-four years ago I had to give it up and seek health in a different climate. In Los Angeles I was led to try Christian Science treatment and found that it helped not only physically but spiritually. It has been my help and stay ever since. When my loved ones passed on, I was able to overcome grief and loneliness. In raising my children, I found Christian Science a great help. They were protected in many ways, and today they are able to be of great use in the world.
I have had many healings, such as those of sick headache, numbness in one leg, a very disagreeable skin disease, and a sprained ankle. The last-mentioned healing was instantaneous. Many years ago I had sciatica and was bowed over and could not straighten up. This was overcome by the work of a Christian Science practitioner. Many disagreeable traits in my disposition have disappeared; sensitiveness and disappointments in outlining have been eliminated, making me a much happier woman.
