I became interested in Christian Science...
I became interested in Christian Science through the healing of my mother of what two doctors and a trained nurse said was the final stage of autointoxication. My mother was apparently passing on when my father called a Christian Science practitioner, who came to our home. The following morning my mother arose and ate a hearty breakfast. That was thirty-one years ago. She is now ninety-one years old and is still up and about. Her activity and strength baffle those who do not understand the power of Christian Science.
We have had numerous other healings in our families, including those of lockjaw, cancer, pneumonia severe burns, blood poisoning, blindness, chronic colds, domestic inharmony, and financial problems, and painless childbirth has been experienced.
I am very grateful for the Christian Science literature with its messages of healing and comfort, the lectures, church services, Reading Rooms, and the practitioners, who are ready to help at all times. For membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church I give gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and to Mrs. Eddy.—(Mrs.)Helen B. Phillips, Bent, New Mexico.
