With a heart filled with gratitude I wish to share a few of the many blessings that have come to our family through the application of Christian Science. Some of these healings have come with the help of a practitioner and others by our own understanding of the power of God as revealed by Mary Baker Eddy.

Our four boys were born with Christian Science treatment, and each time the birth took place harmoniously with no ill effects. Each of these boys has attended Sunday School since about two years of age. Here they are learning to apply the truth to daily problems. No matter what the problem seems to be, whether physical, mental, financial, or disciplinary, when we turn to God the healing takes place.

Our oldest boy ran his left hand through the wringer of the washing machine. He was alone at the time, so it was necessary for him to release the wringer himself. Afterwards someone wondered how he had had the presence of mind to do that, but I knew it was because there is only one Mind and that Mind is ever present. He went to his room and read from his Bible and from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and I talked to him of the power of God. At first the hand was swollen and discolored, but there was no pain, and in three days he was using that hand to play his violin.
