THE NOTHINGNESS OF NOTHING
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Mother was down in the basement washing clothes when her little daughter, Sharon, came home from school. Sharon had been attending a Christian Science Sunday School ever since she was three years old, and so was learning the truth about God and man. But this day when she came from school she was sobbing unhappily and went directly to the basement to see her mother.
"Mommy, I had an earache in school today, and I can't hear very well in that ear. If it still aches tomorrow, do I have to go to school?"
"Of course not, dear." Sharon's mother comforted her and held her in her arms, but added quickly and reassuringly: "If we know the truth about God's child as we are taught in Christian Science, you will be able to go to school tomorrow. This error is only a seem-so; it is not real, not true."
