I turned to Christian Science for healing many years ago, and I was healed. This so aroused my thought that I began to study the Bible together with the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. It was indeed a happy day when I first discovered that God is Love. Some of our first healings were brought about through the realization of this spiritual fact. One such experience came when my daughter, then two years of age, fell down a long flight of stairs and was picked up unharmed.

Then came the time when I needed to gain more than a superficial knowledge of this great truth. It was then that I experienced the healing of pleurisy with the help of a practitioner. Following this, hereditary beliefs began to give way, and I experienced "the purification of sense and self" which Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 324 of Science and Health "is a proof of progress."

When my daughter was still quite young, she had many healingssimply by my reading Science and Health to her. She thought of it as the "God-is-Love book." I am grateful that all through the years since then she has continued to love this truth and that she now has the opportunity of applying it in her own home.
