Allentown, Pennsylvania (First Church).
First Church of Christ, Scientist, Allentown, dedicated its edifice at 1533 Hamilton Street on Sunday, December 28, 1947, with services in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Christian Science was first introduced in Allentown about 1900, but it was not until 1913 that the first Christian Science Society was organized, with services being held in the Guth Building, 832 Hamilton Street. The society continued to grow, and in 1921 it was able to qualify as First Church of Christ, Scientist, Allentown, and was so recognized by The Mother Church.
