BUSINESS BUILDING WITH CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
Perhaps the greatest blessing Christian Science bestows on mankind is its teaching that evil is not a reality because God did not create it, and that consequently there is no necessity to bow down to it and accept it as something inevitable. This Science gives us the scientific and therefore certain method by which so-called evil and its apparent effect can be eliminated from experience. As the apostle wrote (James 4:7), "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." All sincere students of Christian Science recognize that out of adversity they may make a steppingstone to the achievement of good.
In dealing with untoward circumstances, what a difference there is between the modus operandi of mortal thinking and the spiritual-mindedness taught by Christian Science! Mortal opinions would often darken our skies with gloom and hopelessness, whereas spiritual understanding reveals the sunshine of heaven with the truth that in reality all is well.
Within a short time after commencing to study Christian Science, a young man found himself unemployed. In conjunction with two colleagues who were in a similar plight as the result of a general trade depression, he formed a partnership to commence a new business venture, although the immediate future seemed problematical and the possibility of success rather remote.
