"Christian Science
is absolute; it is neither behind the point of perfection nor advancing towards it; it is at this point and must be practised therefrom," states Mary Baker Eddy in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany".
In
the third chapter of Acts is recorded the story of a man, lame from birth, who was laid daily "at the gate of the temple" to ask alms of those who entered.
Perhaps
the greatest blessing Christian Science bestows on mankind is its teaching that evil is not a reality because God did not create it, and that consequently there is no necessity to bow down to it and accept it as something inevitable.
The complete Christian Science Hymnal has been translated into French, and now, for the first time, church attendants at the services held in this language will be able to sing any hymn included in the English edition of the Hymnal.
How very grateful I am to God, to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her untiring work in showing us how to put into practice the wonderful truths given us in the Bible.
