With love and gratitude to God for His tender care and for His loving-kindness to those who seek to know Him, I should like to tell how I sought for harmony.

Eight years ago I was crippled with arthritis. I resented the loss of my beloved husband, I was worried about my financial affairs, and I was irritated at my home surroundings. My condition grew worse, and finally the doctors gave up hope of my recovery and did not expect me to live.

At this time a sister who lived in California was sent for. She, being a consecrated student of Christian Science, offered to help me. I accepted this truth and was healed. I had been in the medical profession for many years, and it had failed me; I had been a student of the Bible from childhood, but I seemed to be in utter darkness. Christian Science led me out of that darkness. The study of this Science has given me an understanding of my true identity as a child of God.
