As one who, when a young...
As one who, when a young woman, found herself in a position where no hope was held for her recovery, I know what a blessed comfort the healing ministrations of Christian Science can be. This Science restores hope and furnishes a purpose in life, the desire to know more about God. Although my first healing was slow, and there were many times when discouragement tried to lift its ugly head, I continued steadily to improve in health and eventually was able to resume normal activities. The difficulties healed included stomach trouble, an anemic condition, and intense nervousness. The application of Christian Science has met my needs through the years with ever-increasing efficiency.
I am grateful for the help of the practitioner and friend who guided my early footsteps in Truth. It was largely through her help that I was able to make a change in residence which removed me somewhat from the benevolent mesmerism that seemed to engulf me.
I had many healings, including those of burns, sprained ankle, influenza, infections, and other ailments. If I could impart through these lines some of the comfort and spiritual illumination which were with me at the passing on of my mother, if I could convey the understanding of Life which is God, which carried me through that experience, I should feel that, in some measure, I had repaid my indebtedness to the contributors of the wonderful testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and the Sentinel.
