Mary Baker Eddy states in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 177), "The evidence of divine Mind's healing power and absolute control is to me as certain as the evidence of my own existence." This statement has been proved in my experience.

Christian Science was first offered to me by a member of a Literature Distribution Committee, at a time when I was experiencing deep despair, poor health, lack, and a severing of family ties. I read a copy of the Sentinel, and soon became closely associated with a sincere student of this Science. She showed me how to read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, and I attended church and lectures with her.

At first there was much faltering. Once I thought I would give up this Science, although I knew it was the truth because I had been healed by its application. I thought it demanded too much. Humbly I started my studies again, because I had found no joy or peace away from it. Spiritual understanding began to unfold, and many blessings followed.
