FAITHFULNESS
The
one who in compassion gave
The troubled world a healing sign
Did not disdain the marriage feast,
But changed the water into wine.
His hand that touched the bier and stopped
The bearers at the gates of Nain,
Once held the plummet and the line
And worked perfection with a plane.
He cast out spirits with his word,
He calmed the storm with "Peace, be still,"
Yet patiently to children taught
The knowledge of his Father's will.
Shall we then fail the task at hand
And for a greater venture call?
Our Master said the faithful ones
Would be made rulers over all.
